Tangle presents “Surface Tension” – circus theater at FringeArts!
Surface Tension’s innovative mix of dance, theater, and aerial acrobatics premieres September 14-17 as part of the 2016 FringeArts Festival. Tangle’s aerial dancers balance a mix of aerial silks, partner dancing, and spoken word to get under the skin of a Tinder date turned rocky relationship, an advice columnist who could use a taste of her own medicine, and a well-mannered office worker who snaps under pressure. It’s a circus-theater exploration of how much we see past the surface of other people. How much can you really know someone– at home, in the office, 20 feet in the air?
Wheelchair-accessible. Metered street and lot parking. Theater is located behind the historic Christ Church near 2nd and Market Street, next door to the Arden Theatre. Theater opens 30 minutes before showtimes. It is not necessary to bring your printed ticket to the event. The performance is family-friendly, although not oriented towards children.
