Maura is happiest in perpetual motion. Having graduated from Philadelphia University with a degree in Textile Engineering, she emerged from the lab with a surplus of energy. She puts a good 20 miles a day on her beloved 1984 Trek bike and manages a handknitting yarn company.

When Maura has to sit still, her hands are often knitting or crocheting, and her freelance designs have been featured on the Martha Stewart craft blog and in internationally published books and magazines.

Her crafty endeavors can be found on her blog, The Projectory. Building on her background in competitive dance, Maura has studied aerials at the Philadelphia School of Circus Arts.
